Sailfish Family Spotlight - The Dillon Family

Taryn and Andrew have been keeping busy during this quarantine season aboard their Sailfish 2360 Center Console. They both grew up at the Jersey Shore and have been together since they were teens – boating in the Sandy Hook,  New Jersey area.

“When we were young we would fish from land and dream about our future boat. We got our feet wet with our first boat, but in 2018 upgraded to our Sailfish 2360 Center Console with twin Yamaha 115” said the Dillon’s, “We wanted something that could handle rougher weather, which it certainly can! We fell in love with our Sailfish at first sight and have no regrets with our choice”.

The Dillon’s wanted to do more offshore fishing specifically, targeting tuna and other pelagic species – and they sure have succeeded on their mission as they have reeled in huge tuna in the past couple of seasons.

The spacious head was important tFloundero Taryn, as well as providing lockable, safe storage. “We fell in love with the shape of the bow flare, the wide beam, the double livewells, and the solid transom,” said Taryn.

The double front fish boxes certainly come in handy while hunting down Bluefin tuna – one of their favorite boating activities.

“Our favorite memory on our Sailfish was while we were offshore tuna fishing. We were surrounded by thousands of porpoises and dozens of migrating humpback whales.” said the Dillon’s.
